Eat, photograph, and enjoy autumn fruits
Kyotango City in northern Kyoto Prefecture has a climate suitable for growing fruits and is known as a production center for a variety of fruits. In autumn, Fujiminori grapes are in season until mid-September, Pione and Shine Muscat grapes until mid-October, Ouaki and other pears until late December, and Anju mandarin oranges. Grapes can be purchased at local roadside stations, farms, supermarkets, or ordered at “Kyoto by the sea market”, but the best part of the region is the fruit-picking experience. Also, until October 31, the “Kyotango Fruits Hashtag Campaign” is underway. By posting photos related to Kyotango fruits, you can win gorgeous prizes such as fruits from Kyotango and accommodation coupons.
