The Hirosaki Castle Chrysanthemum and Autumn Foliage Festival is held at Hirosaki Park to coincide with the peak autumn foliage season. The park is home to approximately 2,600 cherry trees and 1,100 maple trees, with the autumn foliage reaching its peak in early November. At night, the park is illuminated, creating a fantastic scene enhanced by the presence of Hirosaki Castle and projection mapping. During the day, stalls line the grounds, offering lively experiences like handicraft workshops, flower art displays, chrysanthemum exhibitions, and stage events. Until 5:00 PM, the “Autumn Foliage Sightseeing Boat, Naka-bori (Central Moat) Boat Ride” operates, allowing visitors to enjoy the foliage while gently rocked by the boat on the moat.
