Spanning approximately 800 meters with around 300 stalls lining the waterfront, the “The Morning Market at Tatehana Wharf”  is one of Japan's largest morning markets and has been featured in varieties of media. Starting at dawn every Sunday, it hustles and bustles from early morning, offering not only local seafood and produce but also sweets, toys, clothing, and appliances. Its popularity also stems from the chance to enjoy local gourmet food on the spot. You can indulge in famous local delicacies like “Shio-teba” (chicken wings coated and fried), “Apple Spring Roll” (fried rolls filled with Fuji apples and custard cream), and various hot pot dishes until you're full. While the “The Morning Market at Tatehana Wharf” is usually closes from January to March, this year it will be held as “The Morning Market at Tatehana Wharf of Winter.” Changing its location to indoors, about 50 stalls plus food trucks, it promises the same lively atmosphere.
